Smile Preschool + NurserySmile Preschool has been providing a “preschool as family” environment for over 27 years to the children of Jersey City and their parents. We were the first preschool in the area to achieve Abbott certification in education and are always working to provide the highest level of care for your little ones from birth to six years of age readying them for their next steps in education.

I have a passion for learning and as the Director I can utilize my knowledge & experience for the children, families and staff.
I always find ways to give back to my community. I leave quite an impression on every family that enters any of my centers and have helped parents who need assistance and resources for their child’s development. My goal is to inspire my children and staff.
Credentials: Nursing Degree, Early Childhood and P-3 Certifications, Degree in Director’s Academy, The New Jersey Registry Level 1V Certification, and registered with Rutgers University for Continuing Education on Infant, Toddler and Preschool Education.

Miss Amita runs the educational structure of our schools–creating a curriculum and environment appropriate for each age group. Parents have confidence in Miss Amita. She puts children and families above all else. Her goal is to incorporate a unique nurturing approach that will give each child the opportunity to develop into confident learners.

Miss Debi takes great pride in the connections she has made with all the children and families at Smile Preschool & Nursery. She provides the best care to ensure that all our children reach their developmental milestones. The early relationships between caregivers and children set the stage for their social relationships and emotional well-being in the later stages of life.
